Player: Mark Viduka  Socceroos Cap: #402

Socceroos Date of Debut:

08th June 1994, Australia vs South Africa, Adelaide (Australia)

Squad: ------- Manager: Frank Farina

Some Facts:

The exact game is unknown in which Mark Viduka has worn this jersey. But it is the same style the Socceroos have worn in 2001 against Tonga and American Samoa. Australia celebrates two different world records in FIFA football history. On 9th April the Socceroos defeated Tonga 22-0 in a World Cup qualifying match. Only two days later the "Roos" have beaten their own record with 9 more goals and created an unbroken record till today of 31-0 against American Samoa. (11th April 2001) Australias striker Archie Thompson has scored 13 goals in one game which is also another world record.

But there is another strange fact about this kit cause it has been used only for a few months. Already on 1st June 2001 Adidas has slightly changed the look of the home jersey.

Some Facts:

The away shirt has been prepared for the FIFA Conferderations Cup match vs France cause we expected France to play in their white dress which finally happened. But the Socceroos have been called as the home team which meant they could wear the green home kit, too.

Therefore Australia has worn the green jersey vs France and ended up with a unexpected 1-0 success against the current FIFA World Champion.
